Rotary flash dryer is a new high efficient fluidized drying equipment that we designed for solve the static drying's low efficiency and high consumption problem. When designing the equipment, we combined the features of air stream drying and fluidized drying together. So the machine has reasonable structure and good performance, it really achieves the aim of low consumption and high efficiency of fluidizing drying.
After the heating in the heat exchanger, clean air is pumped into the air inlet, and rotated into the ring gap at the bottom of the drying chamber by a certain speed. Then in the tangential direction, the clean air enters the drying chamber, and spirals upward. At the same time, by the stepless speed-regulating feeder, material are filled into the tower quantitatively. In the drying tower, material and hot air are mixed sufficiently, and is transported to the separator together, where the finished product is collected and packaged, while the exhaust gas is further processed by the dust removing device and then is discharged.
At the bottom of the drying tower, there is the volute-shape air distributor and a stirrer, and the rotary speed of the stirrer can be regulated by the external motor. There are two functions for the stirrer:
a.Hot air from the distributing room is driven to rotate by the high speed, so the stable fluid bed is formed, which can avoid the spouting, which is caused by the partly blocking.
b.When multiple groups of blades in the stirrer are rotating by the high speed, big blocks are continuously crushed, so the particles are constantly peeled and rubbed, and the heat-exchanging surface is constantly updated, so the drying rate is increased.
In addition, the interval between the blade in the stirrer and the dryer's wall is very small, when the stirrer is rotating, the material which are pasted on the wall can be cleaned in time. There is the cooling jacket for the tower's wall, and the quality of those heat-sensitive materials can be ensured completely. With the volute-type air distributor, from the bottom ring, the hot air evenly rise in a spiral shape, and the reasonable wind speed ensures that material can be fluidized and dried well.
In the central part of the drying tower, the quantitative feeder keeps the feeding continuously. At the same time, after the crushing, material are blown upward by the high-speed hot wind, so a relatively stable fluidized layer is formed in the drying chamber. Between material and the hot air, the heat/ water exchanging is rapid and sufficient, and most of the moisture is evaporated at this process. For those particles, with high water content and smaller specific-surface area, because their gravity is bigger than the buoyancy, when they are falling in the drying room, are continuously dried, and because of the crushing & the impact from the high-speed air flow, are further crushed and dried, as a result their gravity is less than their buoyancy, and particles begin to rise. At the drying room's upper part, there is a ring-type classifier. When particles are rising along with the air flow, because of the centrifugal force, the turning radius of those big particles (Moisture is not qualified) becomes bigger and bigger, when it's bigger than the classifier's radius, will be blocked in the drying room, and have the further crushing, until they are qualified. While those qualified particles will flow out along the air flow, and are collected.
